S fokusom na autohtone i prirodno uzgojene hrvatske proizvode, pod svojom kapom okupljamo vise od 450 malih lokalnih proizvodjaca / We focus on indigenous and naturally grown Croatian products, gathering under our umbrella more than 450 small local growers

Informacija, hrane i ideja. Usporavanje, mirisanje i kusanje hrane, postivanje tradicije. Ovdje cete uvijek naci osjecaj jednostavnosti, miris zemlje, toplinu ljudi.

Maloplacni stolovi bogati su u svojoj razlicitosti, uvijek s drugacijom ponudom, ovisno o sezoni: voce i povrce, delikatesni sirevi, zacini, klice, mikrozelenje, jestivo cvijece, prirodni sokovi, domaci kruh, namazi i dzemovi, sirove torte, superfood, orasasti plodovi, tradicionalni proizvodi itd.

Mali plac potice ideje i vrijednosti: vracanje hrani s izvora, podrzavanje malih obiteljskih gospodarstava i lokalnog uzgoja, djelovanje u skladu s prirodom, ekolosku, organsku i bio-dinamicnu proizvodnju, urbano vrtlarstvo, vegetarijanski nacin prehrane, odrzavanje starih receptura, ocuvanje starih sorti sjemenja i vrijednosti okusa koji nestaju pod pritiskom industrije i komercijalizacije.

It’s been four years now that we are creating a platform that engagingly promotes values of local and traditional food growing. Focusing on indigenous and organically grown Croatian products, Little Market gathered under its umbrella more than 450 small local farmers and producers.

So far we have organised more than 300 Little Market events all around the city – we love to change locations and appear in unusual places. After it overgrew the Attic, Little Market started to explore other locations and possibilities. It found its new home at Branimir Centre and during the same period of time regularly appeared at different urban spaces in cooperation with various sponsors, including the Museum of Broken Relationships, D-Day, Croatian Design Superstore, artOmat, Design Week and Art Park. Little Market quickly established itself as a unique mobile market place and a well-known gourmet event.

We like to say that Little Market is more than just a market. For us it is about connecting and sharing – information, food and ideas. It is about slowing down, smelling and tasting the food, honouring tradition. Here you will always find the sense of simplicity, the smell of the Earth, the warmth of the people. Also, coming to Little Market became a kind of a ritual for our visitors. People like to come and take time to explore products, taste the food and meet local growers. We always encourage personal approach. In this world when everything is online, we like person-to-person moments.

Little Market's tables are rich and various, always with something different to offer, depending on the season: fruits and vegetables, gourmet cheeses, spices, sprouts, edible flowers, natural juices, home made breads, raw cakes, superfoods, nuts, traditional products, etc.

Ideas and values endorsed by Little Market: returning to the food from the source, supporting small family farms and local food-growing, acting in line with the Nature, organic and biodynamic growing, urban food-growing, vegetarian diet, traditional recipes, heirloom seeds preservation and the value of tastes that are disappearing under pressures of industrialisation and commercialisation.
